The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national credential system that trains, develops, assesses and certifies skills and competencies for the workforce. As a continuing education and training (CET) system, WSQ supports the SkillsFuture movement to:

  • Promote recognition of skills and competencies to facilitate progression, mastery and mobility;
  • Promote holistic development of the workforce through technical and generic skills and competencies;
  • Support economic development by professionalising skills and competencies to drive industry transformation, productivity and innovation efforts; and

Course Objectives

By taking this course, learners will develop the skills to plan and execute effective brand storytelling using AI-enabled tools, video techniques, and strategic branding principles. Learners will be able to create storyboards, produce and edit brand videos using smartphones and AI technologies, apply visual and emotional elements such as angles and music, and tailor storytelling approaches to support personal or corporate branding needs across marketing and public relations campaigns.


Course Learning Outcome

✔️LO1: Draft brand communication concepts that address stakeholder needs and highlight product or service benefits effectively.

✔️LO2: Document customer insights and brand feedback using listening strategies to evaluate influence on brand reputation.

✔️LO3: Execute marketing and public relations initiatives that align with brand positioning to boost brand awareness.

✔️LO4: Monitor brand performance using indicators and recommend enhancements for public relations campaign effectiveness.


Pre-requisites

✔️Course completion requirements: Fulfill at least 75% attendance and pass assessments

✔️Aged 21 years and above.

✔️Education level of at least Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 or its equivalent.

✔️SOQ shall counsel and advise applicants without meeting the education, literacy and numeracy requirement that they may not be able to comprehend the content, keep up pace of training and/or cope with assessment conducted. Where necessary, unsuitable applicants will be discouraged from enrolling in the programme.



Medium of Instruction & Trainer

The course will be conducted in English and Mandarin.

Presentation slides will be provided in bilingual format, while assessments will be administered in English.
