The main aim of the Diploma in Semi-permanent Embroidery is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills to semi-permanent eyebrow, eyeliner and lip embroidery services to the public and to gain employment in the beauty industry. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide
occupational competence at level 3.
This qualification is for learners who want to work as semi-permanent embroidery artists.
The qualification consists of 3 mandatory units with a total of 224 hours of Guided Learning (GL) to achieve the full qualification.
The mandatory module and skills the learner will perform are:
• Health and safety practice in the salon
Health, safety and hygiene – contextualised to the environment in which the learner is working
• Semi-Permanent Embroidery
Semi-permanent embroidery techniques – to include selecting a suitable embroidery technique including eyebrow, lip or eyeliner for the client’s skin type, face shape and adapting the treatment to the client’s specific needs
• Professional conduct and business awareness
Consultation techniques – to include understanding the needs of clients and when and when not to treat them, contra-indications, referral procedures explaining possible contra-actions, providing aftercare and homecare advice
The learner will also develop knowledge about current legislation and working practice requirements and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the industry.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to acquire the following:
Underpinning Knowledge
1. Requirement to perform the semi-permanent embroidery and function of the skin system and common diseases and disorders that may affect when a client should or should not receive treatment
2. Development of semi-permanent embroidery setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem solving
3. Develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a therapist
4. Related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential in order to work and be successful in the industry
Abilities
1. Carry out pre-treatment activities – to include consultation and contra-indications, selecting suitable semi-permanent embroidery type for the client’s face shape, classical movements and adapting the service to the client’s specific needs
2. Conduct service for contraindication
3. Demonstrate the compliance of semi-permanent embroidery
4. Carry out post-treatment activities
• At least 16 years old
• Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50%) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience
• Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50%) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

• Registration Fees refer to the price that the student pays the school for the sole purpose of processing the application requirements, and it is non-refunable.
